A Text-based, Cyberpunk, sandbox, multiplayer, RPG. You're a "Runner" in a dystopian land called NuTokyo which is full of deceit, bounty hunting and hacking. Where everything is stored within the BlockChain of NuTokyos currency: NuCred.
So, a persistent, stable, public, unchangeable game is created where everyone's character is stored in the wallet and every map change is stored in the BlockChain.
Introduction to NuTokyo[]
Welcome to NuTokyo.
NuTokyo, a vast sprawling network of concrete skyscrapers,and fiberoptic cables as far as the eye can see. A utopia with clean air and sunshine, where crime is under control and the neighborhoods are safe. At least that's what the corporations that own pretty much everything would have you believe in reality living in NuTokyo is not easy, not that it's easy living anywhere these days. With private security forces employed by the largest of the corporations enforcing arbitrary laws in the slums and the desprate and depraved in a constant war for survival NuTokyo is a high tech low life pit, all the worlds greed and evil distilled down and put in one place. Why go there you ask?
NuTokyo is where a runner like you can make it rich, there is always someone to exploit and someone dumber or less lucky to make a few NuCred off of. Corporations are always hiring those that are willing to get their hands dirty. Hackers that run the matrix breaking into highly encrypted systems and toppling god like empires overnight or assassins that make problems disappear. Will you become a infamous runner or be found dead in the slums?
NuTokyo is a huge city, with a population of around 26,356,800 million registered citizens and an estimated four hundred thousand illegal citizens. It was built and is owned by large companies known as corporations. These corporations became so powerful that in the year 2123 they used their influance to remove world goverments and instate their own laws effectively removing any roadblocks they had and paving the way for domination of the worlds markets. The corporations in order to cultivate a profitable enviroment do not openly oppose eachother, instead they hire runners and hackers to wage a cold war behind the scenes and ever grow their influances and wealth by eliminating competition. However these corporations care little for the lives of the citizens of the world and as such crime pollution and sickness are rampant. People turn to bio augmentations and drug use to deal with illness and must defend themselves as goverment funded law enforcement was dissolved.
About the game: NuTokyo is an online text based multiplayer cyberpunk roleplaying game. In NuTokyo you may hack corporations, take on bounties and duel other players in a dystopian futuristic world. The game uses blockchain technology to keep track of progress. The game is currently in alpha and is being steadily developed.
